Learn What It Takes to Become a Pastry Chef

Have you thought of going to a pastry chef school?Perhaps you're a natural at making desserts and all of your friends love your treats during parties. The culinary Institute of America has 3 different locations that you can study, the main one being in New York at Hyde Park, and the other ones located in California and San Antonio Texas. The prime one for pastry chefs is the school in Greystone California.One of the nice things about the CIA is the fact that they are a nonprofit school that is dedicated to culinary education excellence.

When you are looking at culinary schools, there are a lot of different factors you need to consider in order to choose the right one. Are you planning on being a baker, a pastry chef or do you want to run your own bakery or mail-order pastry shop? Are there any type of special foods or pastries that are your specialities that you might want to specialize in? There are many different culinary institutes around that specialize in certain aspects of the food industry.
